Starting to think that distraction / procrastination have something to do with the power process

In order to do something, you must do it. It is irrational to come up with some kind of strategy to make you do something. All you have to do to get writing is to get writing.

I think procrastination and so on has something to do with the power process. Technology seems to creates a sense of powerlessness while simultaneously offering a relief. This maybe why mindfulness is effective in countering it

Any thoughts on this?

Technology gives you relief in the form of an excuse. If you’re able to, withdraw from technology for a while, read one chapter of a bunch of different books (real paper books), then get yourself into the writer mindset and start writing. I don’t really write these days, but in the past, this was what seemed to work for me.
